Thanks to my friends, family & church I have finally raised the full amount of money I need for my trip and have paid my account in full! It is a wonderful feeling and means I feel at peace about this part of the trip and can think now about all the things I will need to pack. Well, one stress at a time I can probably handle :-)
It's only 25 more sleeps until I depart... gulp! I hadn't counted the days until now and although I knew it was less than a month away, this really clarifies the timeline. With Christmas and New Year still to go, it can feel like it's a while away but once 2009 celebrations are done it will be barely any time at all before I am on a plane to Uganda. So many things to be excited about all at one time; I may pop!

Hey Andi ... great to hear everything is chugging along for the trip. I thought you might find it interesting that we were invited to a fundraiser and charity auction here in Brisbane a couple of weeks ago for Watoto as well. I got the low down on the project in Uganda and we've committed to get behind the project from this end financially - very cool project which is definitely needed in that part of the world.
